Special Note:

Not very long ago, it was common for UPS manufacturers to publish their performance under linear loads, even though their products fed NONLINEAR loads. Today, all UPS manufacturers publish performance data under a representative NONLINEAR profile. The transformer industry has not kept pace and is still stuck in the past, testing and publishing performance data under linear loads, even though it’s almost impossible to find pure linear loads in a facility today. Even K-rated and harmonic mitigation transformers performance data reflects LINEAR loading. Thormag leads the way by testing under real world leods, NONLINEAR aka, computers, faxes, printers, LANs, today’s HVAC anything with variable speed drives is NONLINEAR.
