These transformers should be specified for the majority of routine lighting and power applications.

TP Transformers - Meet NEMA TP1 Energy Standard

NEMA TP1 TransformerThe TP line of transformers is a delta-wye transformer designed to meet the NEMA TP1 standard. They are more efficient than standard 150° C rise transformers at all load levels. This allows for energy cost savings over the life of the transformer and a lower lifetime cost of ownership when compared to general purpose transformers. Manufactured to the highest quality standards under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, the TP line has a warranty of 10 years.

With years of experience manufacturing high efficiency transformers, the Thormag Power Corporation has designed transformers to be the best in their class, giving you, the customer, years of quality performance and savings.

In general our transformers are:

  • Copper wound dry-type distribution transformers
  • Insulated with the highest quality systems that are UL recognized and CSA certified
  • Tested extensively under linear and no-linear (if requested) load to ensure conformance to the nameplate rating and to the NEMA TP1 standard
  • Shipped with and "easy skid" allowing installation to be safe and easy, even for one electrician, saving the contactor time and money
